The foolishness of mass immigration

Immigration

I remember reading the account of a person who emigrated from one country to another over a long distance, describing his experiences of both the  culture he had left and the culture he arrived in. He describes his original culture as one characterised by oppression, brutality, aggression, selfishness and taking advantage of other people in order to survive. It was ‘every man for himself’ in the struggle for existence, where man’s most base instincts were relatively  to the fore and uncontrolled. This could describe virtually any society in some ways because all these characteristics can be found to one extent or another in any country because the world is made up of human beings, every one of which is capable of abominable behaviour. This person travelled over a long distance and eventually found himself in a country which was totally different from his own, and what he found amazed and shocked him. In this new country everyone was so quiet, everything was so ordered, everyone moved about their business like clockwork, and absolutely in harmony. People did not rage at one another or fight one another to achieve their ends. That country was Holland, a country whose mores and mind-set had been built up over centuries, a way of thinking and going on that was almost ‘in the genes.’ It was a graphic picture of how vastly different and diverse the countries of the world are in every way. Each country is the product of a complex and detailed history and culture going back hundreds and even thousands of years. Some countries have built up a mature framework of law to protect their citizens from exploitation and bad behaviour, they have been shaped by a particular religion or cultural mind-set. It is also true that some cultures and peoples generally behave better than others, and have higher standards when it comes to treatment of their fellow man.

There is a powerful move today to mix cultures and achieve full globalisation of the world community. Many people think this is a worthy enterprise. This has all been deliberately planned. After all what could be wrong with bringing everyone together, helping them to mix and understand one another’s cultures? Classic experiences are gained from travel or living abroad when people have learnt invaluable truths about what and what not to do when travelling abroad, or from school experiences in multicultural settings where ex schoolmates extol the virtues of rubbing up against individuals with completely different worldviews.

However it is still true that some countries are more peaceful and stable, some have more freedom and some less, some have more culture, some have more violence, etc, etc. The question is what causes some societies to have some features and not others? Why is it that some countries are known for peace, politeness, aggression, directness, rudeness, violence, etc?

We are now seeing the downside of the mass immigration that has been allowed into western cultures over recent decades. Cities in Europe, Australasia and North America have been transformed by the sheer volume of immigrant flows. Cities like London and Sydney are no longer full of white indigenous Brits and Australians. Those days are long gone. I remember going to a meeting a few years ago where it was said that New Labour were deliberately allowing mass immigration in order to destroy the culture of this country. Long after that Andrew Nether let the cat out of the bag in the British press when he informed the great British public that New Labour had allowed mass immigration to ‘rub the right’s noses in diversity.’

The New Labour policy of allowing in huge numbers of immigrants should go down in history as one of the most irresponsible and disastrous policies of any government of recent times. In fact the ideology behind it is sinister and wicked, let’s call a spade a spade. It has been said that they were importing a voter base to add to state dependents in the UK which would help guarantee that a conservative government would never get into office again. To put it more precisely, again this was a wicked thing to do to a nation and people, to import so many aliens in such a short time for immediate political gain.

One of the most serious criticisms of such a policy is the effects of importing alien cultures into the nation which have a totally different worldview to your average indigenous Brit. The importance of culture, religion and community has been grossly underestimated by policy makers. They inexorably go on about the economic benefits or disadvantages that accrue from immigrants, but the key, crucial issue is that large numbers of people from a totally different culture bring a different spirit, if you like an atmosphere, which reflects their worldview, into the nation. Every individual carries an atmosphere with them that affects those around them for good or ill, and when you import large numbers who carry a common atmosphere you are asking for trouble if that atmosphere clashes with the atmosphere of the pre- existing culture. The Poles bring with them a certain spirit, as do the Rumanians or Bulgarians, as do the Somalis and the Afghans. There is no problem when individuals or groups buy into the pre-existing culture, but when large numbers fail to assimilate but stay in their own areas separate from the settled population, they simply reproduce their own culture in a different land. And when large number of aliens have a worldview that clashes with the indigenous population you have a big problem, as we are seeing now. The fact that a recent study by a think tank advocates the importing of yet more immigrants to sustain the older and pensioned population shows a woeful ignorance of what is and will likely happen in the future.

The word ‘racist’ has been used as an accusation to bully anyone who does not agree with the agenda of multiculturalism and the associated ‘benefits’ of diversity and mass immigration. If you raise serious questions of a common sense nature about the wisdom of this reckless policy you are deemed extremist, zenophobic, a Little Englander and of course a bigot. Which is of course the aim, to make you feel guilty if any smidgeon of the word ‘racist’ can be left on your collar. The reality here is that you are facing a bullying, intimidating spirit convinced of the rightness of its cause, that will brook no opposition or disagreement. When that spirit is reinforced by the BBC, the MSM and the political elite then you have a real problem. The forces at work behind this spirit want to crush the freedom and individuality that have characterised this nation in the past, because to regulate the behaviour of so many disparate groups and cultures, you have to ramp up the legislative environment to ensure the ‘community cohesion’ so beloved of politicians.

Nobody is saying we should not have immigrants, that’s profoundly not the issue. The issue is mass uncontrolled immigration on an unprecedented scale without the consent of the people. That is institutionalised lunacy. If New Labour ever did this for short term gain, they were stoking up the fires of major problems in the future. We are now seeing the fruits of this strategy.

The most disturbing thing about this is that it is a part of an ideology of cultural self destruction that has infiltrated much of the political class and intelligentsia. They sometimes seem to deny the source of the benefits and freedoms that have been built up over hundreds of years. It is often said that they suffer from white colonial guilt, the idea that atonement must be made to the Third World, and so on and so forth.

It is essential to get a grip on immigration, therefore a five year moratorium on all immigration could be considered, regardless of the protests of big business, politicians, the EU or whatever other body decides to poke its nose into British affairs. Unfortunately this requires another nettle to be grasped, that is our relationship with the EU, for as any fool knows, we have no control over who comes in from the EU including those who have used the EU as a corridor. Consequently we have to push for EU withdrawal.

In addition, a crackdown should take place throughout the land to get rid of everyone who is here illegitimately; there has been far too much rewarding of bad behaviour by national governments, it is time to get really tough. The idea of an amnesty is foolishness, it just sends a loud message to the rest of the world that the UK is still being nice to everyone and is a soft touch. All it takes is political will, a nation can be changed in a day.

We have to think now of what is being passed on to our children and grandchildren. We cannot just live in a bubble of unreality and not think of the consequences of what we allow or do not allow today. Remember, radical action for radical problems.
